What is TOEIC?
TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is an English Language Proficiency test for people whose native language is not English. It measures the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment.

What is the format of TOEIC?
TOEIC is a two-hour multiple choice test that consists of 200 questions divided into two sections:
• Listening Section (100 questions, 45 minutes)
• Reading Section (100 questions, 75 minutes)

Part 1:                     Photographs   (20 items/4 choices)
Part 2:                     Questions and Responses  (30 items/3 choices)
Part 3:                     Short Conversations    (30 items/4 choices)
Part 4:                     Short Talks   (20 items/4 choices)

Reading Section      (100 questions, 75 minutes)
Part 5:                      Incomplete Sentences     (40 items/4 choices)
Part 6:                      Error Recognition             (20 items/4 choices)
Part 7:                      Reading Comprehension  (40 items/4 choices)

How is the TOEIC test scored?
The scores are determined by the number of questions answered correctly.
The number of correct responses is converted to a number on a scale of 10 to 990 (Listening Section: 5 to 495; Reading Section: 5 to 495).
There is no penalty for wrong answers.

What score do I need to “pass” the TOEIC test?
 The TOEIC test is not a kind of test that one “passes” or “fails”.
 
 Different jobs and tasks require different levels of English proficiency.
